Our EXT CLASS 1 Biohood provides the highest level of operator and environmental protection from harmful particulates available today. Quality materials, components and workmanship normally associated with high-end models can be found in all of our cost-effective EXT series hoods.




Key Features


  • Operator Protection: The airflow is directed away from the operator, into the hood to be filtered. Each EXT size has been successfully ASHRAE 110 tested with excellent results.
  • Particulate Filtration: The CLASS 1 model filters the contaminated air through a HEPA filter, rated 99.99% efficient at 0.3 microns.
  • Independent Operation: ​​​​​​​Internal fans direct the air without being ducted to the building system and vent the filtered air back into the room.
  • Corrosion Resistant: ​​​​​​​Constructed from corrosion-resistant white polypropylene, these hoods are ideal for processes involving corrosive chemicals and are resilient to frequent sanitizing.

Types of Applications


Class 1 cabinets provide user protection with negative airflow away from the operator that mixes with contaminated air in the work area and is recirculated back into the lab space after being filtered through the HEPA filter.
